India is set to lose more than 1.5 million people and almost 200,000 lives due to the flood in a month and a half, according to the government.
The government has issued a proclamation for the National Day of Relief on February 10.
The relief measures will cover a total of 6 million people.
The relief measures are aimed at bringing relief to the affected areas and are intended to assist in relief activities.
The declaration also seeks to mobilise people across the country to participate in relief efforts.
As per the relief measures, the government is looking at setting up a new bank to provide financial assistance to the needy and provide food to the displaced people.
