Faith Winter is the newest star to join the cast of Marvel’s upcoming “Beautiful,” and the first to join actor Ryan Phillippe as the titular character, and the latter of the two to have been a major fan of Winter’s since the late 1990s.
In an exclusive interview with EW, Winter spoke about the inspiration behind the character and her hopes to have her character back in the film.
She explained: “When I heard that Ryan [Phillippe] had made ‘Beauty’ and was going to do another movie with him, I was like, ‘Wow!
It’s a new day.’
I’m really excited about it, I’m just going to keep going to work.”
Winter also revealed that her character, Emma Frost, is the inspiration for the film’s title character, noting that it is the title of the character’s title.
“[Emma] is one of the first people to realize the powers that Emma has, the way she can make people go insane and do all kinds of crazy things,” Winter said.
“So she’s kind of the one that [Phillips] thought of and thought, ‘Oh, I’ve got this great character, I can do it.’
And it was kind of like, it was a nice fit for me.”
